Terms of Use

01The service

FocusDiffusion is a focus app in which a blurred photo gradually comes into focus while you concentrate. You can send a photo with voice notes and a message to a friend; when the recipient completes a focus session, the photo is revealed and kept in their collection. Solo, daily and animal focus modes are also available. We may improve or change the service over time.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use the service. By using it, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will comply with these Terms and applicable law.

03Your account

• You create an account via social sign-in (Apple/Google) and set a profile (handle, display name, etc.).
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

04Your content

• You retain ownership of the photos, voice, video and text you upload or send ("Content").
• You grant the Company a non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, display, generate thumbnails of, and perform content-safety checks on your Content, solely to operate and provide the service. We do not use your Content for unrelated promotional purposes.
• You represent that you hold the necessary rights to your Content and that it does not infringe others’ rights (including image and copyright). Photos that include other people require their consent.
• Content you send to a chosen recipient may be viewed and kept by that recipient.

05Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• Upload or transmit illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — this is blocked without exception and preserved and reported as required by law.
• Post or transmit sexual, violent, hateful, harassing or stalking content, or otherwise harm others.
• Share other people’s photos or personal information without consent, impersonate others, or infringe rights.
• Abuse, reverse engineer, scrape, circumvent, or tamper with the service, payments or features.

You can report inappropriate content using the in-app report and block tools. We may remove violating content and restrict or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

06Subscriptions & payments

• Some features are offered through a paid subscription (Pro) or a one-time purchase. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not store your payment details.
• A monthly subscription automatically renews at the end of each period unless cancelled, and the renewal fee is charged at that time. You can manage or cancel renewal in your store’s subscription settings.
• Prices and plans may change with prior notice. If you cancel, access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Refunds follow each store’s refund policy. Statutory withdrawal rights apply where required; however, for digital content whose delivery has begun, the right of withdrawal may be limited as permitted by law.

07Intellectual property

The service and all related software, design and trademarks are owned by the Company or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, modify or reverse engineer them without our prior written consent.

08Changes to the service

We may modify or discontinue all or part of the service and will give reasonable notice of material changes. The service may be temporarily interrupted without prior notice for unavoidable reasons such as force majeure or technical failure.

09Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from in-app settings. Data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
• We may restrict use or terminate the agreement, with notice (or together with notice where urgent), if you violate these Terms or the law.

10Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is." Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental or special damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

11Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes relating to the service are handled under applicable law. Where litigation is necessary, the competent court determined under the Korean Civil Procedure Act shall have jurisdiction over the first instance.

12Changes & contact
